We believe in the classical Christian doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ. These beliefs are best summarized in The Apostles’ Creed; one of the oldest declarations of basic Christian faith.
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day He arose from the dead, He ascended into Heaven and sitteth at the right hand of the God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting Amen.
Hamilton Memorial UMC is a growing congregation located in the heart of Atlantic City. The church offers a summer literacy program for 50 Scholars, a variety of small groups, service opportunities and has built strong relationships with several community patrons. Hamilton Memorial UMC is extremely proud of its past, but is more excited about the future possibilities God has for the church and community.
